Lowell Teen Block

The Lowell Community Health Center’s Teen BLOCK program is an after-school youth program that provides an inclusive and brave space for youth to bring their ideas to life, while working in the community with their peers and trusted adult allies. Teen BLOCK Programs include Youth Reaching Out, a program focused on  violence prevention through strategic activities and meaningful dialogue; Environmental Strategies Working Group, a program focused on substance use prevention through creative arts and activism; Journey to Healing, Afrofusion, & Somos, cultural programs that focus on creating a safe space for young people to learn about and share aspects of their culture(s); Healthy Teens, Healthy Relationships, a curriculum which provides sexual health education through small group discussion, interactive activities and games; Valuing Our Insights For Civic Engagement (VOICES), provides a space for youth to explore their personal experiences and develop leadership skills that they can use in their lives and communities to make changes they are interested in seeing. To learn more, please visit Teen BLOCK’s website.
